How to Install and Use Avaya Ip Office R7 Manager Software 18
Avaya Ip Office R7 Manager Software 18 is a tool that allows you to access and configure all parts of the IP Office system, as well as upgrade the software files used by the system. It is compatible with systems running software from IP Office Release 6.0 upwards. In this article, we will show you how to download, install and use this software.
Downloading the Software
The IP Office administration suite of software, which includes IP Office Manager, is available as an orderable DVD. However, you can also download it from the Avaya support website (http://support.avaya.com). To download the software, follow these steps:
Browse to http://support.avaya.com and log in.
Select Support by Product and click Downloads.
Enter IP Office in the Enter Product Name box and select the matching option from the displayed list.
Use the Choose Release drop-down to select the required IP Office release.
Click Downloads. The page lists the most recently available downloads.
Click View Downloads for the full list of downloads.
Select the full administration package for download, not the separate binary files or the Admin lite download packages.
Also download the documents listed under the RELATED DOCUMENTS heading if shown.
Note that it is important to download and install the correct version of the IP Office administration suite that matches the IP Office release required on the system. This sets the version of software loaded when recreating the System SD card. Also note that the IP Office Manager installed using the AdminLite installer is not the full version. It runs in English only and does not include the files needed for actions such as system upgrades, SD card recreation, etc. To fully support systems, ensure that you install the full IP Office Administration suite installer (approximately 1.52GB compared to the 230MB AdminLite installer).
Installing the Software
To install the software, double click on the setup.exe file that you downloaded. Choose your preferred language from the drop-down list and click OK (this is for the installer, not the IP Office Manager application). The installer will check your PC for previous versions of the software. If any are found, you will be prompted to uninstall them before proceeding with the installation. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the installation process.
Using the Software
To use IP Office Manager, launch it from your Start menu or desktop shortcut. You will see a window with a toolbar and a navigation pane on the left. The navigation pane shows a list of IP Office systems that you can connect to. To connect to a system, right-click on it and select Open Configuration. You will be prompted to enter a username and password for that system. The default username is Administrator and the default password is blank (no password). Once connected, you will see a configuration tree on the left and a details pane on the right. You can use these panes to view and edit various aspects of the system configuration, such as users, extensions, hunt groups, trunks, etc. To save your changes, click File > Save Configuration or press Ctrl+S. To upgrade or downgrade a system's software version, click Advanced > Upgrade Wizard or press Ctrl+U. Follow the wizard's instructions to select and upload a new software file to your system.
